You can easily find people insights and what their character is . Just start by looking at thier social circle. See who they hang out with and how they spend thier time. If you're junkies avoid at all costs because they'll make you too if you cannot control your mind and yourself. When you see their Circle, you will easy understand them by looking at his friends and how are they acting towards him . 

Then check for their reaction to criticism. Many people don't like to be criticized. Some may get triggered to even a simple small criticism. If they react with you in anger they are not self assured and it shows lack of self realisation. If they don't react and take it easy they are more stronger and confident. They'll work on that thing and make it strong . Or just laugh it off . But don't go too far with anyone if you do too much . You'll end up alone .

Then see how they say 'no' and react to 'no'.

People will ask you for favor sometimes and you may or may not be able to do it . See for their reaction . And are they trying or making you to do it means that they're manipulative and if they take it as ok . They respect you .
