There are lot of ways to waste time but in
this generation, we waste a lot of time only in our mobile phones. It is taking
our time and giving us information. That information may be useful to you or it
may not. But you are selecting the options to kill your time and say that you
could have done this or that if you had more time. Time doesn’t wait for you;
you have to make up a schedule. You may be thinking that you are using your
phone less. Go to the setting and check how much you have used your mobile. In
this blog we will see about biggest time killer that are in your mobile phone.
Binge Watching
This is one of the biggest habits to drop
when you are going to get a job. Binge watching has turned out to be great
skill. We can even learn from it as well as possible. Take out your things and I have to check sir.
Sit and watching content that are not
self for your service. Take One piece as one the biggest anime. If you start to
binge watch a lot of shit content your mind will be loaded with lot of shit
content. Compare two guys, in which one guys watches anime and other read some
books in that time. Who will be better? It is easy to find right, you will also
get an idea before watching some useless content. Binge watching is like
consuming unrelated content sometimes. You do not even think about it and it
will be of no use to you.
Texting
This is one of the biggest time killers in
this modern era. I was too wasting time texting my girlfriend often. But soon I
realized that it doesn’t match things with real life. Messages can be used as a
way of communication to share where you are and many others things. But this
must not to used too often. We humans are social beings, we have to interact
with others and share something with others.
We can rely on text sometimes but it doesn’t
stand a chance with real life conversation. There is a big difference when you
speak with your friend in text and in real time. Real time creates many more memories.
Texting on the other hand is awkward too. When I use my girlfriend social media
account, guys will be throwing up messages to her like fools. One guy was
feeling sad and expressing it to her that she isn’t texting him that much. Don’t
you have any other thing to do than feel for a girl that you haven’t seen in
your life? We are slowly losing the way of interacting with each other but we
are interacting with text messages. Because of this we have reduced the face-to-face
interaction in our life. This is what leads to depression and loneliness.
Overstimulation
The best stoic habit you can adopt in your
life is to ponder on things that you did from morning to evening. Just take
your time and think about the things you did from morning until now. Calculate
how much time you have used your mobile. Then check your screen time in your
mobile. It will be higher than you think.
Overstimulation happens when you are not on
control with your hands. You simply take out your phone to avoid many things in
your life. You don’t want anyone to approach you, so you make yourself busy by
simply using your phone. Using your phone because you are being left out in a
group. Using your phone in random places because you feel awkward for no
reason. Overstimulation fries your brain. You are just kept on exposing your
eyes to content after content. Only two hours of screen time is good not more
than that. If you are working in a software or IT companies you must avoid
using it more because you are already fried your eyes in some ways. This may be
also called as constant stimulation because we are simply exposing ourselves to
the scree ns for no reason at all. We unlock our mobile and scroll. We don’t even
know what to do with it sometimes.
Games
Once upon a time I was playing games in my
mobile for a long time. I was playing up to eight hours per day. I was like a
job to me and my friends. We were at the peak level in that game during those
times. It was like eat, sleep and play games for quite a while. Then if I look
back at the time, I played I feel like a wasted a lot of time in it and also, I
paid some money to get some skins in the game.
Spending money for games is okay when you
are earning from the game by streaming it on twitch or YouTube or any platform.
It is waste if you just spend your hard-earned money on games. Instead of that
use your money somewhere else. I have also seen boys fighting in real life due
to games. Really, playing games will give you a relaxation and good time. But
if you play too much you are going to become attached to it soon. Life is more
realistic than actual games. You are the main character in your life and you
have to take control over that. But you are playing Frist-person-perspective
games in your PC. And upgrading the character so next time you will win for
sure. You got to upgrade yourself in order to face the life circumstances. In
games, fighting and shooting is a skill, right? You can also learn to shoot and
fight in real life.
Extreme Entertainment
There is a limit to consuming entertainment
in our life. We can watch some joke, memes, growth content and content which
are useless to us in any ways. But I have seen my friends talk like they are a
big shot in film industry. They say their taste is good and so on. If you watch
a movie and it was good. That’s all, do not waste your time proving that it is
a right movie to watch and downloading edits based on that movie and posting it
on social media. What is the use here?
Are you giving a free promotion to that
movie? (or) Are you giving a fighting in some Instagram comments that this is
best or that is best. Even in real time guys fight for some movies. That age
has gone now. Everybody does what they like, you have too. Just please don’t
give a fuck about what others think about you. Just dwell on the good thoughts
and development you like. Consume content which are useful to you in some ways.
Don’t just keep on watching entertainment
for a lone time. Consume content which is based on what you want to do in your
life. One day I viewed a ted talk video and learned about an application called
Duolingo. It is an application where you can learn new languages for absolutely
free of cost. There are two things you can do now. First one is to watch a
newly launched web series called as “Sex lives of College girls” or you can
learn a new language in Duolingo.
Which one do you choose? If you choose
watching a web series you will feel bored after completing it. But if you
choose learning a language. You will feel confident about yourself more in that
language. There will always be a new web series and there will be always a new
movie. But if you wish to write down your life you have to do something
different.
Entertainment can be consumed but it must
also be useful and knowledgeable to you in some ways for you to develop.
Watching movies and other stuffs can be done when you completed all your work.
Productivity Application
Many people fall in the trap of being
productive but they are not productive. They just make themselves think that
they are. Installing 30-days six pack application will not get you a six pack. You
have to work for it too. People just make a fool out of themselves like this. You
cannot be productive by installing this application and checking on them too
much. You have to make time and fix your schedule to work on the things you
want. There are millions of productive applications in internet. But the real
question is are you willing to be productive? These applications can be used as
a tool but it should not waste your time in any ways.
Consumption Cycle
If I have money in my hands. I can’t stop
hands to go to online selling platform. Everyone has a craze in some product
and we consume that too. We check it online many times. But when you start to
scroll on this platform, there might be always something that might catch our
eyes. Do simply buy things that doesn’t have a real use for you. We just stock
upon the things which really have no use to us but we are consuming it in our
eyes. My friends buy books but they don’t read it, they buy gym equipment but
they don’t work out. Before buying things, you must have to think twice.
Another type of consumption is news. Excessive
news consumption will make you bored in life. Some people are addicted to world
news, I am addicted to boxing news and UFC. You may be addicted to gadgets. This
news will just be useful sometimes but I won’t be useful maximum of the time. This
can take your time more. Just head lines are enough you don’t have to watch a
full time about it. I like UFC, but if I stay and watch all the matches. My time
will be gone, but you will be happy right? No, really you won’t after some time
because you have no work to do. You can consume a little while eating your food
and some other time. Not on full time.
Effective Use
One of the best ways to use your phone
effectively is in your hands itself. Your phone itself can control it. You just
have to change some of the setting for it. Just go to setting and select app.
Check for the screen time and see how much application you are using in you day
to day life and see how much time you are using it daily.
Then select a timer for each of the
application you use more or often and set a timing for it. The timing can be of
your own wish. For example, you have allotted twenty minutes for Instagram
means after twenty minutes it closes itself and turns off. Do not cheat
yourself and update the setting as you wish. You are not cheating me but
yourself. This is a good way to avoid your phone. There is also another way
just break it into pieces and throw it. Only if you can’t control yourself. Use your media and other platform well in
order to upgrade yourself more.
Think your life like a GTA character. You
have to upgrade in many ways to improve yourself.

Using your mobile phone for too long means
that you are damaging your mind and body in many ways possible. It mainly makes
you a weak person in your head. In order to compensate that people are drinking
and whining about how they are living their life peacefully. They are the
people who live in social media. You are not in peace you are in contact with
your phone too much. Focusing too much on mobile and stressing about things
that you could have done today. There is
always a next chance but time does not wait for anybody. It just runs like hell
and you have to catch that phase.
You will start to feel inferior to others
because you are slowly losing your habits. You just have no self-respect for
your if you do that. So, whenever you get drunk, you will start to share things
from your heart. These words might actually sound foolish but you have to
believe. So, get your mind clear and use your time effectively with your phone.
Don’t slack off your time in useless things and watching useless things. Do what
is helpful to you in your life. There is abundance of content and application
that is waiting to eat your time. You have to be careful on what to do with your
mobile and what you consume with your mobile.
